The Journey to Healthier Indoor Environments: Navigating ISO 41001 and Facility Management Best Practices
“Good Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) – Did We Play the Cards Right?” – This was the topic that Mitesh, our Technical Director, presented at the Indoor Air Quality Association, Singapore Chapter. In this insightful webinar, Mitesh delved into the criticality of IEQ and how it aligned with the requirements set forth by ISO 41001:2018. Mitesh also explained the ISO 41001 clauses related to indoor environmental quality, providing a comprehensive overview of the topic.
Facility Management played a crucial role in ensuring the management of facilities, both from a strategic and operational perspective, to deliver the desired outcomes and maintain a safe and efficient environment. With the recent pandemic, the focus on Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) took center stage, leading to existing building certification systems offering specific modules and dashboards to monitor and communicate IAQ. The strategies and measures put in place for COVID-19 safety not only helped to address the pandemic but also enhanced overall indoor air quality.
As the world moved beyond the pandemic, it became increasingly important to carry forward the emphasis on air quality and health & wellness while also complying with the ISO 41001 related clause requirements. The webinar aimed to provide insights and best practices on how facilities could ensure a healthy and safe indoor environment for all occupants.
